"I always enjoy painting the brilliant fall colors of the Rocky Mountains. The play of the sun through the clouds at this fleeting moment highlights the vibrant golds of the aspen against the deep shadowed pines. The back-lit creek adds additional 'sparkle' and interest, as it takes the viewer back to the horse, trees and those far-away mountains."
