Mule deer are an important part of the natural environment of the United States Air Force Academy, where mornings and late afternoons are the best times to observe these graceful animals.  "In this painting of the chapel, I have created the deer as they appeared, with their suble images blending into the foreground grasses and shrubs of this secluded area."
