"Star of Palmer Lake"

In 1934, the 500 foot star was constructed by local residents of historic Palmer Lake, Colorado.  During the entire month of December each year, its 91 light bulbs shine out for miles around from Sundance Mountain, giving the communities below a friendly reminder of the holiday season.
