"Sunlight on the Mesa"

"While driving to the top of Mesa Verde, Colorado early one winter morning, the sun came up across the mesa.  For a split second, like magic, the snow was pink, and the colors of the pinons and chamisa were rich blues, purples, greens and golds.  As the sunlight changed, the intensity was gone. 'Sunlight on the Mesa' is my impression of that wonderous moment."
